I've stuck with the Gel Nimbus for several years now, and Nimbus-13 once again fits the bill. I like a cushiony, neutral shoe and the Nimbus lets me run farther with fewer aches and pains than a lesser shoe. I also have high arches and narrow feet and this shoe works great for me. Top to learn more

Excellent Shoe With A Few Changes from Prior Model
New for 2011, this is the 13th iteration of one of Asics flagship models.If you have run in Nimbus shoes in the past, you will find the new model to be very similar to the Nimbus 12 with two minor, but significant functional improvements over the previous model: (1) increased side-to-side stability and (2) slightly lower profile heel. More on each below.For anyone new to Asics or the Nimbus line in particular, it is one of Asics franchise shoe designs. At $120 plus dollars it is also at one of the higher price points, but worth it if you are a distance runner. The shoe is particularly well suited for those with a "neutral" gate and slightly higher arches - there is greater cushioning for the arches. If you are a high-mileage runner (running 25 miles or more a week) optimizing for comfort over absolute speed, this is an excellent shoe to train in to avoid injuries. Walking On Air
First off, do some research on what type of foot/stride you have. There are plenty of resources online that will help you decide. I typically don't get too super excited about a pair of shoes but these are an exception. Personally, I've had moderate ankle and heel pain for years after much abuse growing up playing soccer and basketball. After years of dealing with the pain and lots of money wasted on random "premium" shoes, I did some research and found out that I am indeed a heel striker and need a neutral-cushioned type shoe. I also suffer from a heel spur that can cause pretty bad heel pain.Upon switching to the GEL-Nimbus, I saw an immediate improvement in comfort when I walk and run. After a few weeks of using these shoes, foot and ankle pain was completely gone. That was using the GEL Nimbus 10's. Since then, I've upgraded models each year as they are released and have not been disappointed. I typically buy at a local store but I would not hesitate to...

No noticable change from the Nimbus 12
Asics kept the Nimbus pretty much the same as last year with its latest redesign. In my opinion, that is a very good thing. Despite some of the marketing speak about the tweaks they made to this shoe, the Nimbus 13 feels exactly the same as the Nimbus 12.If you like the 12s and are ready for a new pair, go ahead and order these. The sizing, fit, and feel is identical. (Sizing based on the fact that my size didn't change at all. I think it is safe to assume that none of them did, if mine didn't.)

Great running and walking shoe
I usually put in 25-30 miles a week and I've found that ASICS are the best! I have a really high arch and need good support and lots of cushioning. I can always tell when my shoes are getting to the end of their support because my feet will start hurting even though the shoes may still look new. Some shoes will only last 3 months but ASICS usually last 4-6 months. They are worth the price to keep my feet happy! Top to learn more
Great Shoe for High arches/underpronation
I was a cross country runner for most of high school and stuck to asics shoes throughout my 3 years there. I have exceptionally high arches and tend to under pronate or run on the outer portions of my feet, especially my right foot, so the asics were the best choice, and were phenomenal and had great stability. Last year I bought a pair of Brooks, and they were okay, since I wasn't running as much I they lasted quite awhile without causing any pain, except when I recently began running 6 days a week again. I recently switched back to this shoe, and I can already feel the difference. It's lightweight, which I love, and cushions and guides my feet to correct my underpronation while not feeling too cushiony and too soft. I can't wait to run some races in these shoes!! High Quality Shoes for Distance Runners
I have found Asics to have the best fit for me as a runner. I am a distance runner, and these shoes are durable, cushioned and impact-friendly for my high mileage weeks.Some of the features of this shoe are:- Off-set laces. Instead of lacing straight up and down, they lace with a slant to the inside of your soles. This reduces pressure on the top of your foot.- Asics IGS cushion system. They have a gel cushion that absorbs impact for hard surfaces like roads, sidewalks, and treadmills.- Breathable material, so your feet don't sweat and slip around.The only reason this shoe did not get five stars is because of the lacing pattern. I find that the off-set laces have me pushing more to the outside of my foot when I am running, instead of a center push. This side push needs more side cushion inside the shoe. Top to learn more

The Nimbus 12 is new for 2010 and is a worth successor to the excellent Nimbus 11. If you are a neutral runner (with maybe slightly higher arches) that optimizes for comfort over distance ahead of absolute speed this is a good shoe for you or at least a good shoe for you to train in to avoid injuries.The Nimbus line is one of Asics franchise shoes; it is at the higher end of cost and purpose made for running. Note that there is little lateral support, so if you are cross-training in other sports you may need another pair of shoes. First of all let me begin telling you that I'm new to the Asics Brand.
